Lanxess’ Innovation Day focuses on R & D
North Rhine-Westphalian Minister for Innovation, Science, Research and Technology, Professor Andreas Pinkwart, officially opened the first Innovation Day organised by Leverkusen-based chemical company Lanxess. More than 200 of the company’s experts presented research projects at the event, which took place June 14.
Chairman of the board, Dr Axel Heitmann, emphasised the importance of research and development. "We can only achieve long-term success in international competition with product and technology innovations that meet the needs of the market,” he said.
The board commended the best project entries in the following four categories: Product Development - New Chemistry; Product Development – Applications; Technology/Formulation; and Process Optimisation and Ecology.
