Pakistan’s leather investment slips

According to Pakistan’s Central Bank, investment in the country’s leather sector has diminished during the first eleven months of 2006/07. Investments in the leather and leather goods sector totalled $2.7 million from July 2006 to May 2007 compared with $3.4 million in the corresponding period of the previous year, a decline of 20.6%.

It said that total investment for all sectors, including leather, totalled $4.52 billion.
