83 exhibitors from 13 countries participated at the international trade fair for fur and fur processing, Mexa Moscow, held on May 18-20 at the Expocentr Fairgrounds in Moscow.

Some 5,700 visitors attended the event, the large majority of which came from Russia, with 7% coming from overseas. Foreign visitors included members from the Karakul Board of Namibia, who travelled to Moscow to celebrate the 100^th anniversary of Swakara—the breeding of its Karakul sheep. Ambassador of the Namibian Embassy in Moscow, Dr Sam Mbambo, said he was very impressed by the fair.

The theme for the event was ‘Magic of Fur’, with a focus on glamour and luxury.
