NPD launches accessories tracking service

provider of consumer and retail information The NPD Group, Inc. has launched a new accessories market tracking service designed to provide manufacturers, retailers, and financial analysts with the necessary information to assist in mapping business strategies, fine-tuning product development, guiding marketing efforts, gaining an insight into competitors’ performance, and benchmarking results.

The service, which enables clients to see dollar and unit sales, market share, pricing at industry, category, brand and style levels, provides information on both the retail and consumer markets. The consumer tracking service monitors purchasing across a range of accessories categories including bags and luggage, watches and small leathergoods, whilst the retail point-of-sale tracking service reports style-level sales of women’s and men’s bags in department stores and national chain stores.
