German sewing machine manufacturer Pfaff Industrie Maschinen AG recently held a traditional Chinese opening ceremony at its new wholly-owned 10,000m² production plant in Taicang near Shanghai. More than 200 guests attended the event including 100 Pfaff dealers from China and South East Asia, as well as local government and industry representatives from Taicang and the province of Jiangsu.

The company has been producing basic sewing machines for the leather industry at the site since the beginning of the year and another production line for industrial high-speed sewing machines was added in March.
