Revenues rise at Burberry
British luxury brand Burberry Group plc has reported improved preliminary results for its financial year to March 31. Total revenue increased 15% on an underlying basis to £850.3 million ($1.68 billion), with retail revenue increasing 24% underlying, wholesale revenue rising 8% underlying, and licensing revenue improving 10% underlying.
According to the company, the improved results were driven by a strong performance in its outerwear segment, strong consumer response to its luxury handbag initiatives, and the launch of a new eyewear collection.
