Four North American facilities of specialty chemicals company Rohm and Haas have been awarded a 2006 American Chemistry Council (ACC) Energy Award at the association’s 2007 Responsible Care Conference & Expo.

The energy project, implemented at the four sites, represents the successful elimination of 450,000 million BTUs (British Thermal Units) per year of energy usage, saving more than $3 million and 40,000 tons of related CO₂ emissions.
