Bertin celebrates 30th anniversary

Brazil’s largest exporter of beef, Bertin, is celebrating its 30th anniversary. Founded by Henrique Bertin in 1977 and slaughtering just 14 bovine head per day the company has grown into one of the largest and most successful businesses in Latin America. With 28 production facilities and 20,000 employees Bertin now slaughters some 7,000 head per day in Brazil alone. 

The company entered the leather processing sector in 1981 and the company now has nine business divisions including cattle breeding, food, bio-diesel, cosmetics, leather, pet products, and cleaning products.
