Strong revenue growth at LVMH

25/04/2007

French luxury goods group LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton has posted revenue of 3.8 billion for the first quarter of 2007, 13% higher than in the same period of 2006. The USA, Asia and Europe performed particularly well as a result of continued high demand from both local clients and tourists.

All of the company’s business groups posted double-digit growth with the company’s Fashion & Leather Goods division recording a 10% increase in revenue. Louis Vuitton achieved “exceptional performance” with double-digit organic growth in all regions, except Japan. This has been attributed to numerous innovations in leather and the launch of the Damier Azur line. Fendi also posted an improvement, helped by the success of a new leather line and the sustained progress of its shoe and ready-to-wear lines.
