Double-digit growth in leather & accessories at Richemont

Switzerland-based luxury goods company Richemont has posted improved unaudited sales for the full year, ended March 31. Total sales for the year increased 16% at a constant exchange rate, although they were negatively impacted by currency effects meaning actual rates improved 12%.

All business areas performed well and all geographic regions posted double-digit sales growth, with sales in the Asia-Pacific region rising 24%.

In its leather and accessories sector, Alfred Dunhill reported double-digit growth in the Asia-Pacific region for the year, while sales in the Japanese market were flat. Lancel also reported a double-digit sales increase for the year, driven by new products.
