US-based specialty retailer and wholesaler of leather and leather-related products Tandy Leather Factory, Inc. has reported March sales of $5.3 million, equal to sales in March 2006. Year-to-date sales were up 1% to $14.5 million compared with $14.4 million in the corresponding period last year.

Retail Leathercraft posted a 13% sales increase for March, with sales totalling $2.2 million compared with $1.9 million in March 2006. Year-to-date sales for Retail Leathercraft were $6.3 million, a 14% increase over the $5.5 million reported for the same period in the prior year.

Wholesale Leathercraft posted sales of $2.9 million for March, down 4% from $3 million. Year-to-date Wholesale Leathercraft sales were $7.9 million compared with $8.2 million, a decline of 3%.
