ECCO achieves best results in company’s history

Danish footwear manufacturer ECCO Group achieved its best results ever in 2006. Sales improved 14.5% to approximately 14.8 million pairs, with growth achieved in all product groups including men’s, ladies’, children’s, golf and performance. Net revenues from shoes increased 18.9%, while the company’s total net revenues, which also includes sales of accessories and leather, increased to DKK4,470 million ($795.7 million), a 16.7% increase over 2005.

Operating profit improved 79% to reach DKK759 million from DKK424 million, whilst profit before tax increased 103% to DKK709 million, compared with DKK350 million. Profit after tax amounted to DKK489 million against DKK226 million, equating to a 117% increase.
