Bangladesh opens door to Chinese shoe factories

According to a report from the China Leather Industry Association (CLIA), Bangladeshi leather traders are welcoming investment from Chinese shoe factories.

Chinese companies are now opening factories in the country, in order to take advantage of the low labour costs, natural resources and advanced processing technology whilst also avoiding US and EU trade restrictions.
