A new Lanxess leather laboratory has been inaugurated at Pakistan’s largest tanning cluster in Karachi, featuring a complete range of products from wet end to finishes. Chairman of the Pakistan Tanners’ Association S M Naseem was the guest of honour on March 20, and other guests included chairman of the National Institute of Leather Technology Tanveer Ahmed and chairman of the Environmental Committee Gulzar Feroz. Company representatives from overseas included director Sales and Marketing APAC region Juergen Hackenbroich and general manager of Sales (chrome products) Mike Techow. Two of the company’s technicians are now running a one-week workshop at the laboratory.
