Johnston & Murphy brings leathergoods in-house

Men’s footwear and accessories brand Johnston & Murphy, a division of Genesco Inc., plans to significantly expand beyond the footwear category by transitioning its collections of business, travel and leather accessories to an in-house operation, thus ending its licensing agreement with R. Madison.
R. Madison will continue servicing existing wholesale accounts until May 1, when all wholesale sales and services will be assumed by Johnston & Murphy.
The brand’s products are sold through 115 retail stores, 35 factory stores, and more than 2,100 department and specialty stores.
