According to figures released by the General Statistics Office, Vietnam’s leather footwear exports reached $350 million in January this year, 8.69% higher than the $322 million exported in January 2006. 

Handbag, wallet, suitcase and umbrella exports also increased 8.7% year-on-year to reach $50 million—$4million higher than the $46 million reported in January last year.

Total leather exports reached $400 million.
