The two companies will design, develop, manufacture and distribute products through Ralph Lauren boutiques as well as through high-end independent jewellery and luxury watch retailers. Each will own 50% of the new entity which is Richemont's first such joint venture with a luxury fashion designer and Polo Ralph Lauren's first foray into the jewellery and luxury watch businesses. The products are expected to launch in autumn 2008.
