New glove design training centre for Pakistan

Chairman of the Pakistan Gloves Manufacturers’ and Exporters’ Association Sheikh Muhammad Younas and chairman of the Technology Upgradation and Skill Development Company (TUSDEC) Manzar Shamim signed a Memorandum of Understanding during a ceremony held at the Leather Product Development Institute (LPDI) on February 27 to establish a computerised design training centre at LPDI Sialkot. The centre will train industrial workers in advanced design.

Pakistan exported leather/sports gloves worth $4.15 million in January compared with $1.27 million in January 2005, an increase of 226%.
