Positive business climate at Le Cuir à Paris
01/03/2007
Taking place for the fourth time under the umbrella of Première Vision Pluriel, there was a buoyant business mood at last week’s Le Cuir à Paris, with the number of registered visitors rising 2% to reach 10,107—66% of which came from abroad. There was a strong presence from US visitors as well as German and British buyers who reportedly arrived at the show with a precise idea of the materials they wanted, rather than concerning themselves with price—an attitude that was warmly welcomed by the exhibitors.
First time exhibitors reported positive results, too, stating that the show had enabled them to rebuild relationships with old clients as well as introducing them to new customers.
Visitors also flocked to the trends gallery at the event which presented colours and materials for summer 2008 under four themes—Discrets & Bucoliques, Habile & Curieux, Libres & Artistes, and Mathématiques & Rêveurs.
