New fashion solutions at Lectra World 2007

France-based developer of software and CAD/CAM equipment Lectra launched its new line of value-added solutions developed for fashion professionals (apparel, footwear and accessories) in Bordeaux on February 5-6.

400 guests from 30 countries attended Lectra World 2007 including designers such as Benetton, Christian Dior, Clarks, Dolce & Gabbana, Hugo Boss, Kenzo Jeans, Louis Vuitton, Nike, and Yves Saint Laurent.

During the event, the company presented its most recent solutions through a series of interactive workshops held at its newly-inaugurated International Conference Centre in Bordeaux-Cestas, France.

New solutions included the new generation of Vector automated multi-ply cutting systems which are designed to optimise the use of technological equipment in terms of productivity and quality, reduce costs and improve process flexibility and reliability; the new Power service solutions which were developed to improve the overall performance of production systems; the Kaledo system, which stores models, styles, components and materials as well as subsequent modifications; the Modaris 3D Fit which provides simulation and visualisation of three-dimensional models in a broad range of colours and materials and enables precise fitting control as well as style validation thus reducing the number of physical prototypes required and facilitating communication both within the company and between brands and their subcontractors; the Easy Grading automated grading application, which accelerates and simplifies grading activities for fashion companies, producing time savings of up to 70%.
