ATC to launch new products

20/03/2007

France-based manufacturer of leather chemicals, ATC, will launch several new products at APLF in Hong Kong on March 28-30.

In its beamhouse range, the company will launch Actilime DSCü—a new liming auxiliary that provides a dehairing effect, swelling control, and better grain cleanliness. It also enables a high reduction of sodium sulfides during processing.

For pretanning, tanning and retanning, ATC will present Actan ALF, a tanning agent based on aluminium triformate. Used in retanning, Actan ALF is said to provide good buffability, producing short nap on nubuck and suede as well as increasing the brightness of colours during dyeing. It is also recommended for the pretanning of furs, woolskins and wet white.

New for its finishing range, ATC will launch three new polyurethane products, which have been specially developed for upholstery, but can also be used for shoe uppers and leathergoods. Actybind UP 200 is a bottom coat PU offering a high covering effect. Actytop UP 300 G is a fixation PU which produces a shiny effect, whilst Actytop UP 400 D is a fixation PU which produces a matt effect. Both of these products are said to offer high physical properties.
