DyStar and Boehme to exhibit together at APLF

15/03/2007

Following the acquisition of Boehme by Dystar in 2006, the two companies will present their solutions and developments for the leather industry together at this year’s APLF in Hong Kong on March 28–30. Latest innovations include new effects for leather and furs which have been treated with DyStar’s high quality dyes—marketed under the Solvaderm brand—which are said to offer outstanding fastness properties, very high brilliancy and a high level of compatibility with each other.

DyStar will also present its quality solutions for leather finishing. Alongside specialities for cationic finishes and compounds for a variety of leather finishes, an improved version of Oil Phob 1449 will be on show, which is said to greatly increase the water-resistance of leather that has already had a waterproof treatment added. To complement fashion finishes, the company will also exhibit Filler CA, which enhances the production of leather goods.

Meanwhile, Boehme’s wet end chemicals range has been expanded with the introduction of several new dyeing auxiliaries such as Carbacet CPE and Carbacet DLW. Carbacet CPE is said to offer exceptionally even colour and good dye penetration. Carbacet DLW is a new wool levelling agent for fur suedes and fine furs.

The DyStar/Boehme stand will also showcase soft, tight-grained and round shoe upper leathers fatted with Cutapol RPN. This product produces a full, round handle and gives leather uppers a classical bounce. Other products will include garment and glove leathers treated with Cutapol GGL and classic automotive and upholstery leathers produced with Boehme’s well-known wet end products.
