Germany-based TFL has launched several new finishing products.

Roda pur ADX is a very soft and finely dispersed polyurethane that can be used for all types of leather products. Thanks to its high wetting power, the new finishing product can be used to promote adhesion, even on very greasy and/or hydrophobic leathers without negatively influencing water resistance. It can also be added to TFL’s TopCare System—which maximises cutting yieldsto improve adhesion.

Another new addition is Roda base UP, a ready-to-use soft upholstery base coat compound, which is particularly well-suited for very soft upholstery finishing on full grain or slightly buffed leathers. Its main benefits are said to be excellent softness, a very natural look, good coverage, and outstanding light fastness and heat resistance. It also prevents grain overload.

Roda ground UP-XSa ready-to-use alternative to classic cationic pre-groundsis a very soft anionic pre-bottoming for upholstery full grain and buffed leathers. It can also be used in combination with the TFL TopCare System to improve the coverage of defects.

Soft upholstery top coats Roda fix 5771 gloss and Roda fix 5778 dull are ready-to-use top coats, well-suited for soft upholstery finishes. Together these two products are said to satisfy the whole range of finish requirements from gloss to matt articles. Roda fix 5771 gloss is said to provide excellent feel even after ageing, outstanding flow out, very good ageing resistance with no post-hardening, good light fastness and general physical resistance, and a high degree of gloss. Roda fix 5778 dull imparts a pleasant silky feel, offers excellent dry/wet rub fastness, and is crosslinkable with polyaziridine or polyisocianate.
