Improved sales and earnings at A.T. Cross

US manufacturer of high-end writing instruments and leathergoods A.T. Cross Company has posted higher sales for its fourth quarter and full year, ended December 30.

Consolidated sales for the fourth quarter were up 9.4% to $45.3 million compared with $41.4 million in the fourth quarter of 2005. Net income for the quarter was $2.7 million compared with $2.4 million in the corresponding period last year.

Consolidated sales for the full year were $139.3 million, up 7.9% from $129.1 million in 2005. Net income year was $3.3 million compared with net income of $0.4 million last year.

The company anticipates that consolidated 2007 revenue will grow in the mid single-digit range.
