Several of the most common calibrations carried out by UK-based testing centre SATRA have been formally recognised by the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) and accredited against ISO 17025, the international standard for test and calibration systems.
The technology centre’s latest accreditation involved assessments of its calibration systems and procedures, and a series of witnessed audits of individual calibration technologists.
The footwear and leathergoods equipment covered by the accreditation are the Martindale abrasion, DIN abrasion, Bata Belt flex, vamp flex, sole adhesion and tensile test machinery. It also covers SATRA’s Indentometer and Durometer hardness testers.
