New Silvateam production facilities go into operation
19/02/2007
Two new state-of-the-art plants built in 2006 for the production of synthetic tannins by Italy-based Silvateam group have gone into operation. The two facilities—based in San Michele Mondovì, Italy , and in La Escondida, Argentina —will increase the company’s global production capacity of synthetic tannins by 5,000 tons a year, increasing its total global production capacity of these products to 20,000 tons per annum.
The San Michele Moldovì plant, based at the company’s headquarters, will produce 40,000 tons of synthetic tannins, tanning oils and other auxiliaries in 2007 alone, making it one of the largest facilities in the world dedicated to the production of tanning chemicals.
