Speaking to www.leatherbiz.com, director of Siddiq Leather Works and director of Pakistan Pavilion, Muhammad Musaddiq, said that the turnout from both local and foreign buyers was impressive and that a number of enquiries were received. He added that Pakistan was also now looking to import footwear components from India.

Other Pakistani exhibitors confirmed that the show had been a success; however, concerns were raised over the fact that Pakistani companies still only supply finished leather to India and that there needed to be more focus on value-added goods, and that in spite of large visitor numbers, some companies had not yet received any large orders.
