Positive feedback from Pakistani participants at IILF 2007
Pakistani exporters of finished leather have delivered positive feedback from the recent India International Leather Fair (IILF 2007) held in Chennai, India.
Speaking to www.leatherbiz.com, director of Siddiq Leather Works and director of Pakistan Pavilion, Muhammad Musaddiq, said that the turnout from both local and foreign buyers was impressive and that a number of enquiries were received. He added that
Other Pakistani exhibitors confirmed that the show had been a success; however, concerns were raised over the fact that Pakistani companies still only supply finished leather to India and that there needed to be more focus on value-added goods, and that in spite of large visitor numbers, some companies had not yet received any large orders.
