Apparel designer, producer and retailer Innovo Group Inc. has signed a licence agreement with family-owned consumer products company The Betesh Group to produce and sell handbags and small leathergoods, including belts and wallets, under the Joe's brand. This licence will come into effect following approval from the company's shareholders.

Innovo president and CEO, Marc Crossman, said that the company had already started discussions with The Betesh Group to prepare its first handbag collection for The Coterie Show in New York which opens on February 20.

The Betesh Group, which has been in business for more than 35 years, owns six companies including Mitzi International (ladies’ handbags and accessories) and Generation Company (backpacks, sports, travel-related accessories and upscale ladies' accessories).
