January sales increase at Tandy Leather Factory

Specialty leather retailer Tandy Leather Factory, Inc. has reported a 1% sales increase for January, with sales totalling $4.6 million compared with $4.5 million in January last year.
Retail Leathercraft posted a 15% sales increase, with sales reaching $2 million compared with $1.8 million in the prior year period. Wholesale Leathercraft posted sales of $2.5 million for January, down 3% over January 2006 sales of $2.6 million.
CEO and president Ron Morgan attributed the drop in wholsale sales to lost sales days due to winter storms.
