Leather accessories and footwear boost results at Hugo Boss

Germany-based fashion group Hugo Boss has posted significantly higher sales for fiscal 2006. Sales for the year reached 1,496 million—14% higher than the

1,309 million reported for 2005. Earnings before tax also rose 14% to reach 180 million, whilst net income improved 19% to reach 129 million.

The company’s Shoes and Leather Accessories division reported an impressive 28% increase in sales to reach 151 million and was the second strongest area of growth for the company, beaten only by Boss Womenswear which reported a staggering 69% increase in sales.
