Eagle Italian supplied by Zimbabwean wildlife authority

26/01/2007

According to reports, Marondera-based tannery Eagle Italian is to receive animal skins directly from the
Zimbabwean Parks and Wildlife Management Authority in order to boost leather production and increase the authority’s earnings. The authority is responsible for all wildlife in the country and the agreement is designed to prevent the current loss of earnings through selling skins directly to the tanning company rather than through middlemen.

The hides will include cow, elephant, hippo, crocodile and other reptiles.
