GST AutoLeather acquires CUINBA

Michigan-based automotive leather supplier GST AutoLeather has acquired the assets of Mexian automotive leather producer Cueros Industrializados del Bajio, S.A. de C.V.(CUINBA). The acquisition follows a strategic alliance formed  by the companies two years ago. GST will license the CUINBA name back to its former owners and will enter into a strategic supply agreement for the supply of Mexican hides to GST's retanning operations.

During the last two years, GST has relocated 100% of its manufacturing operations from the USA to Mexico and China.

Meanwhile, the company has also announced the pending closure of its prior corporate offices in Hagerstown, Maryland.
