Fur fashion show to be held before Iberpiel Peletería
SIMM (the Madrid International Fashion Fair) and the OEEP (the Spanish Fur Business Organisation), in collaboration with Saga Furs of Scandanavia, have organised a fashion show spotlighting the work of 25 Spanish fur designers. The event will be held at the Teatro Coliseum in
The trends produced by OEEP are centred on three themes: Classic, Purist and Modern.
‘Classic’ will be dominated by ivory shades and subtle neutral tones, rounded shoulders, exaggerated collars and shorter sleeves. Materials and furs will include woollen cloth with sable, rabbit with gauze and mink with tweed or silk.
‘Purist’ is influenced by the Flemish paintings of the 17th century, with ample forms and exaggerated details on the sleeves, alongside empire-type cuts and structured collars. Colours will include gold, bronze and tin. Dyed mink—either natural or shaven with metallic leather effect—will appear alongside astrakhan and lambskin.
‘Modern’ offers simple, destructured forms, complemented with fur accessories. The chromatic range is contrasted with customary shades such as brown and beige. Materials include natural mink combined with brocades, and silver fox accompanied by printed materials and aged leather.
