UK-based testing centre SATRA has appointed two new consultants, Graham Williams and Garry Voss, who are both specialists in leather utilisation. They will travel globally to assess and grade leather for members, explain and install SATRASumm 6—the company’s most recent leather management software system, designed to optimise materials usage and reduce waste—and train leather cutters to use it.

Having originally joined SATRA in February 2001, Mr Williams returns to the company after having spent four years as factory manager of a company producing dance shoes.

Mr Voss gained 18 years of cutting experience of leather upper and inner materials with UK-based footwear companies before working as a quality/conformance engineer in the automotive industry for four years.
