Chrysler Group has reported that unadjusted sales in December rose 1% to 190,415 units (4% adjusted), compared with 189,449 units sold in December 2005. Sales for the entire year totalled 2.142 million units, a decrease of 7% over 2005.

Last month’s sales of the Jeep Wrangler were up 61% on December 2005, and sales of the all-new Jeep Compass rose 36% on November. The Dodge Ram pickup posted a 6% increase in sales on December 2005, and sales for the Dodge brand rose 5% on the same month the previous year. The Dodge Nitro saw a December sales increase of 36% over the previous month, whilst sales of the all-new Chrysler Aspen were up 28% over November.
