Brazil footwear exports remain at 2005 levels

According to figures released by the Brazilian Association of Shoe Manufacturers (Abicalçados) Brazil exported footwear worth $1.7 billion in the period from January to November 2006. This was on a par with the export figures for the same period in the prior year. Forecasts are predicting full year footwear exports of $1.88 billion for 2006.
