Australian sports equipment manufacturer, Kookaburra Sports, has purchased a new Mecmesin force testing system for various quality control tests in the production of its international test match quality cricket balls.

The company has upgraded from a Mecmesin MDD manual test stand to the MultiTest 2.5-i computer-controlled test frame, and is now using it for quality testing on raw materials including tensile tests on leather, cork, wool and thread samples.
