The Mercedes Car Group has reported a 5% sales increase in November to reach a record of 110,800 units, compared with 105,200 in November 2005. The Mercedes-Benz brand increased customer deliveries by 9% in November to 101,900 vehicles over 93,500 in November 2005. Growth was particularly strong globally for the E- and S-Class models, as well as for the SUV family.

In the USA, Mercedes-Benz deliveries rose by 21% to a record level of 22,100 passenger cars. Car sales also rose in Western Europe in November, with sales increasing by 7% to 62,300 vehicles. This positive development was primarily attributed to the brand’s success in the German market, where passenger car sales increased by 21% to 34,100 units. In the Asia/Pacific region, deliveries reached an all-time high of 9,900 units.
