Stahl unveils colours for spring/summer 2008

04/12/2006

Stahl has released its colour forecast for spring/summer 2008. The spectrum is divided into six groups: classic hybrids, humid couture, poetic reminiscence, neo-natural, escape and liberation and techno dea.

Classic hybrids include warm greys which take on a brown or pink cast; black and white are added for graphic contrast; striking red and blue work on a light neutral background, from light grey to blond camel, sometimes adding a slightly pearlised shimmer.

Humid couture includes orchid shades; reds move towards purple cast shads while greens have a warm yellowish or bluish glow.

Poetic reminiscence is a romantic grouping, colours expressing elegance and sophistication, a balance of neutral and pale pastels. Colours include white cap grey, sea foam and deep taupe.

Neo-natural colours are described as invisible tones. Colours disappear on whitening surfaces; chalk while and dusted neutrals create a balance of warm and cool. The colours work well on surfaces with multiple 3D effects and good handle.

Escape and liberation bring together creole pastels, a vibrant collage of colours such as spruce yellow, misty lilac and purple gumdrop.

Techno dea groups surreal darks, making up a palette of dark warmish tones with a metallic glow accentuated by luminous shades of fused red. Colours include beechnut, cinnamon, sepia and bracken.
