Lanxess increases leather chemical prices

01/12/2006

German chemicals company Lanxess’ Leather business unit has increased its prices worldwide with immediate effect as a result of rising raw material, transport and energy costs. The company stated that as the factors affecting prices vary from region to region, the increases will be addressed individually.

Vice president Sales & Marketing in the Leather business unit, Frank Paus, said, "This global price increase is unavoidable and will apply to dealers and our direct customers."
