IBTec acquires new kinematic system

A new kinematic system has been set up at the Biomechanics Laboratory of the Brazilian Institute of Leather, Footwear and Leathergoods Technology Centre (IBTec), in Novo Hamburgo.

The new system, which has been imported from the USA, will enable the Institute—the representative for SATRA's tests in Brazil—to carry out research related to the movement and performance of Brazilian footwear components. 

The new system involves a set of methods that make it possible to to measure the kinematic parameters of movement through  position, orientation, speed and acceleration.
