China’s first regional fur industry association has been launched in Su Ning county, Hebei province - the country’s most important fur production area.
This year, the 820 fur enterprises in Su Ning are forecast to achieve an output of $580 million and exports of $250 million, accounting for one fourth of the country’s total output.
To date, the Hebei fur industry association has already been joined by over 80 large fur enterprises in the province and is planning to establish industry standards for its members and hold fur fairs to attract both national and international buyers.
