Voluntary liquidation for Tyneside Leathercrafts

25/10/2006

Reports indicate that UK-based leather goods manufacturer Tyneside Leathercrafts has gone into voluntary liquidation after almost 70 years in the industry. Products made by the company ranged from luxury goods such as travel goods and clothing to floor tiles and military regalia and accessories.

The reason for the closure is reported to be a decline in order numbers and a general struggle within the UK leather industry.

18 jobs have been lost as a result.
