British shoe manufacturer Clarks has launched its Terra Plana brand which aims to provide repairability, lightness and durability as well as being eco-friendly.

At the Footwear Leather Conference in Hong Kong, seventh generation member of the famous footwear family Galahad Clark explained that the majority of the company’s leathers use a chrome-free tanning system called White Line, recently developed by TFL

The White Line System guarantees skin friendly leather and ensures items meet the rigid standards for harmful substances. Leather goods made using this system are dermatologically tested and environmentally compatible.
