US specialty retailer of leather outerwear, accessories and apparel Wilsons The Leather Experts Inc. has reported sales of $23.6 million for the five weeks ended September 30 compared with $27.3 million for the five weeks ended October 1, 2005. Year-to-date sales for the company’s stores decreased 13.7% to $163.3 million compared with $189.2 million for the same period last year.
