Canadian designer, manufacturer, and retailer of leather and suede clothing and accessories Danier Leather has launched its ‘Warm Your World’ coat trade-in scheme at 39 factory outlet locations across Canada. From October 5-9 customers can bring in a gently used coat and receive $30 towards a brand new Danier leather jacket, coat or blazer with a value of $249 or more.

After the five-day trade-in, all the used coats will be donated to The United

Way in each store's region to be distributed to different agencies providing charitable assistance to people in the community.

President and CEO Jeffrey Wortsman has also pledged a donation of $5 to The United Way for every coat collected. He said, "Recycling is one of the easiest ways for people to help make a difference and we know that people have at least one coat in their closet they don't wear—maybe even forgotten about—but do not necessarily want to throw out."
