Increased visitor numbers at Le Cuir a Paris

The eleventh edition of Le Cuir a Paris, held September 19-22 brought together 267 exhibitors from 20 different countries.

13,609 visits (of which 65% were from abroad) were registered during the four days of the fair, an increase of 12% compared with the event in September 2005.

Activity at the five Première Vision Pluriel salons (Expofil, Première Vision, Le Cuir à Paris, Indigo and Mod'Amont) was positive with 1,507 exhibitors compared with 1,473 in September 2005 presenting collections for the autumn/winter 2007/2008 season.

Misadon (Argentina) and Berlonzi (CICB/Brazil) participated at Le Cuir a Paris for the first time. Fur company Saga Fur (Denmark) also attended, demonstrating the union between leather-fur and textiles-accessories.

Collections included lacquered leathers (Italian companies Conceria Arno, Conceria Romana and Conceria Chiorino) as well as the three themes of the season—Essays, Roman and Legend. Other highlights were ‘couture’ style, weaves and arabesques from Italian firm Di Leather & Mani pel, waxed leather from Cac (France) and classical crossed grains from Degermann (France) as well as doubled face fur from Gunduz Kurk (Turkey).

Next editions will take place from February 20-23, 2007 September 18-21, 2008.
