TFL unveils new dyeing auxiliary
Level dyeing is a crucial element in leather processing and considered as the ‘business card’ of tanneries. Dyeing auxiliaries help to improve the quality of the dyeing result and are therefore commonly used in the dyeing process around the world.
Specialty leather chemicals company TFL has introduced Invaderm RA as part of its range of levelling auxiliaries with affinity for dyestuffs.
It can be used when different dyestuff types are being mixed and applied together to improve shade consistency and, with the retarding effect it has on anionic dyes, it makes them more compatible, thus improving reproducibility from batch to batch. It also improves dye penetration and uniformity of buffed articles. The new auxiliary enhances homogeneous penetration of the dyes into the cross section, which results in improved levelness of buffed articles such as nubuck and suede.
