Tannin purchases Marden Wild

14/09/2006
Massachusetts-based tanning chemicals manufacturer Tannin Corporation has purchased Canadian chemical company Marden Wild Corporation. Marden Wild will remain an independent entity and will maintain its name, brands and customer base.

The company believes this purchase will allow it to increase manufacturing capacity and operate more economically. The Marden Wild manufacturing facility, based in Canada, will also move Tannin closer to its raw material supplies and enable more efficient and cost-effective shipping from the port of Halifax.

A company spokesperson said, “The existing ranges complement each other and, with other synergies such as common customers, the cost effectiveness will be of benefit to all parties. The brands and products will continue as before, making this a seamless transition for our customer base.”
