A breakdown of the figures showed that the country exported finished leather worth $22.2 million, leather goods worth $29.9 million and footwear worth $8.545 million compared with $25.9 million, $54.6 million and $14.6 million respectively in the previous month. Finished leather exports fell by 14.5%, leather goods by 45.3% and footwear by 41.5% compared with June.
The country exported leather garments worth $24.9 million, leather gloves worth $4.5 million and other leather goods worth $0.5 million compared with $39.5 million, $12.3 million and $2.8 million respectively in June. The breakdown also showed that the country exported over 1.017 million pairs of footwear worth $8.5 million, including leather footwear worth $7.6 million, canvas footwear worth $0.4 million and other footwear worth $0.5 million compared with $9.9 million, $0.5 million and $4.1 million respectively in the previous month.
